We create, cut & maintain beautiful lawns
Clwyd Lawn Care has over a decade of experience in treating and maintaining beautiful healthy lawns and bowling greens, which gives us a great understanding of how to treat a wide range of issues. Every lawn is unique, and that’s how we approach each area we treat, taking its individual factors into consideration.
How does it work?
The specialised slow release granular and liquid formulas and herbicides used are not harmful to the environment, pets or children making the areas treated safe for use after an application.
As opposed to home or store-bought treatments, our specialised formulas are not available to buy in stores or online. This allows us to cultivate a beautifully crafted lawn that will be a proud addition to your home and garden.
The process is very quick and cost effective and is carried out by our trained team, saving you a lot of time, money and effort while still achieving an attractive, healthy lawn. You can relax in the knowledge that your lawn and hard surfaces are being cared for and look good all year round.
How long do treatments last?
Each treatment lasts between 10-12 weeks on average. We do not require access into homes, and generally only need access to the area that is to be treated – in a number of cases you won’t have to be home for us to carry out the treatments, as long as we have permission and access to the area.
If you are unavailable on the day after we have treated the lawn for you, our team will provide information about the treatments we have applied and details about payment. If required we can provided an aftercare service so that you can rest assured that your lawn is cared for all year round.
Available Treatments
Grass Cutting
Applied all year round
We provide a lawn trimming service for those that require it, as a separate service or as part of our ongoing treatment process.
Treatment One
Applied February – May
An application of high nitrogen and liquid herbicide for growth, nourishment, colour and weed control for approx. 90% of broad leafed weeds and clover. After a long cold winter the lawn will be given a big boost and will start to come to life.
Treatment Two
Applied June – August
An application of nitrogen phosphorous and potassium fertiliser for healthy roots. Second application of liquid herbicide to control the more difficult weeds and clover. For thick green wonderful looking grass without weeds.
Treatment Three
Applied September – November
An application of potassium and phosphorous fertiliser to encourage root development plus an important application of moss control as damp lawns encourage more moss. This helps strengthen the roots ready for colder weather.
Treatment Four
Applied November – March
An application of feed and a dosage of moss treatment to reduce and control moss in the lawn. Dead moss should be removed by scarification and lawns reseeded to encourage the lawn to thicken and look healthier in Spring.
