GET A QUOTERevitalising your lawn
Scarification of your lawn is the process of removing moss and thatch so that the lawn can be seeded for new growth. This helps improve the thickness and appearance of the lawn, so that it becomes thicker and healthier.
What is the scarification process?
Scarification can be adequately described as a 'mechanical' method of raking the lawn, which is more thorough and long-lasting than a manual approach. Our team will use specialised tools to remove all unwanted plant matter from the lawn, leaving it free to be seeded, allowing new growth to be achieved.
In the short term, the lawn may look a little tatty, but this is a completely intentional part of the process
When is scarification carried out?
Scarification is carried out towards the end of the calendar year, so that the lawn has the winter months to heal and regrow. Come spring, you will start to see the improvement especially when we apply our first treatment.
Watering the lawn regularly and cutting the grass at the correct height will keep it looking fresh and lush.
